Ocean Celtic Quartet
Leaves of Autumn Halloween Concert
OCEAN plays “Celtic Music for Ancient Moderns!” From soaring vocals to fiery fiddle tunes; from centuries-old songs to memorable new songs with an ancient accent, OCEAN blends the timelessness of Tradition with the power of Pop. Called “Nothing short of spellbinding” by the Washington Post and featured recently on National Public Radio’s “Mountain Stage,” OCEAN is a “Who’s Who” of D.C.-area musicians founded and led by composer Jennifer Cutting (Accordions & Keyboards), and featuring Lisa Moscatiello (Vocals, Guitar, and Whistle), Steve Winick (Vocals), and Andrew Dodds (Fiddle). OCEAN excels at seasonal concerts, and Autumn is one of their favorites. At this special Halloween-time concert celebrating Samhain, the ancient Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest, OCEAN will perform songs of the falling leaves, songs of the supernatural, and spooky fiddle tunes that invite the spirit to dance! Come in good voice to sing along on the choruses, and wear your Halloween masks to celebrate the season! _
